Comment: In Australia very little is known about Sensory Perception Disorder so I was delighted when I saw this book on Amazon...it is excellent and I have donated this to the school where my grandson goes to help the teachers understand about Sensory Perception Disorder. I can recommend this to parents, grand parents and teacher for further reading about SPD.

Comment: Costly little booklet so make photo copies for yourself and use the book like the master. Helpful when you have to "educate" the educator about your child each new school year. Not a waste but use it wisely to save having to buy it again and again.

Summary: Great resource for the "lay person"
Comment: Although I am a certified special education teacher, the area of sensory integration is one that I was very unfamiliar with. My special ed schooling contained little information on this very important area for learning disabled children. It was a real eye-opener to realize WHY my 5-7 year old children exhibit the behaviors they do. I now understand why they are always falling out of their seats, dropping their crayons, have poor motor control or have difficulty putting on their jackets. The best part is that not only does the book help you identify these behaviors, it provides practical strategies that can easily be incorporated into daily classroom routines. Nice resource to have.

Comment: As a special ed teacher this book has been very helpful. I am able to give other teachers a brief checklist that describes a students difficulties and use those indicators to create classroom accomadations to for each child. Very helpful book.
