Summary: Wonderful teaching tool.
Comment: I absolutely love this book. I purchased it for my 3 year old. We have been learning a verse a week. I love the version is King James, seems a little more poetic to me. My son loves the stories you read to help emphasize the verse. The stories are short but extremely well written. They also deal with many situations that children deal with. I always insert his name and one of his friend's names into the story. He is so amazed someone has written a story about him that he cannot help but listen. Also at the end of each story there are a few questions to ask about the story. I was surprised that my son was able to correctly answer most of the questions. It has also help me to recall verses I have learned in the past. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a useful resource to help children memorize scripture.

Summary: Great book to share God's Word
Comment: I purchased this book for a preschool that wanted to start introducing the 3-4 year old children to God. This book offers short messages and ways for the teachers to apply the message throughout their school time with the children. I also know of a woman who is starting to homeschool her 4 year old. She has experienced her 4 year old bringing up the messages throughout the day. Comment: great little memory verse book. It does have some big words that you have to explain or find a replacement word for, like maybe use the word Sunday instead of Sabbath! It is a nice little book

Summary: Everything we hoped for and more
Comment: My wife and I got this book for Christmas to help teach Scripture to our three children, ages 3-6. We are starting out at one verse per week; so far just A and B. The kids love it, remember it, and are trying to apply it. The text helps greatly with memory and application. With developmental level differing so much among them, it can be hard to find a teaching book that all three can grasp and enjoy. The biggest surprise is that the 3-year old is as involved as the 6-year old. We also love Ginger Plowman's book "Don't Make Me Count to Three...," and I think this book (ABC Bible Verses) has helped us put feet on her ideas more than anything else. Right now, if I could give one set of parenting books to Christian parents of young children, it would be: 1. Shepherding a Child's Heart (Tripp) for the principle of internal change; 2. Don't Make Me Count to Three (Plowman) for how to apply Scripture; and 3. this book, ABC Bible Verses, for helping one do that. Of course these and other books should always be read critically and with reference to all of Scripture; no author is perfect, and any advice can be distorted or used as an excuse for self-centered or abusive parenting.

Summary: My favorite devotional
Comment: I have 4 year old triplets and have tried at least a dozen different devotional books with them--and this is in my top 2-3. I love that it is in alphabetical order. Some of the devotions are just beginning to be age appropriate, but it still works very well for us.

We are memorizing the verses as we go. The verses chosen by the author are perfect for small children, as I am able to refer back to them several times a day. (Are you being a peacemaker or a trouble maker?)

I highly recommend.
