Summary: Words for thought in grieving process
Comment: This book gives you short passages that provide wisdom and hope to help you with grieving. I read one passage just about everyday. I lost my 20 year old son and my father in the same year and this book - even 6 years later - still gives me beautiful insight into living with grief. Many of the passages are so insightful that I feel they are speaking to me. I support this book so much that I buy it for friends who lose a loved one. I fully believe that reading it helps you heal and gives you hope.

Summary: No matter what your loss, this book will speak to you
Comment: This the best book I have ever found on the subject of grieving - which we will all do at some point in our lives - most likely more than once. I have given this to people who have lost a loved one, endured the pain of saying good-bye to a beloved pet, waded thru the bewilderment of a broken relationship, etc. Molly has separated the book into 6 sections : Beginnings, Navigation, Surrender, Transformation, Continuance and Connection. Every page will have you saying "That's how I feel" From page 95 " Our inclination to subject tragedy to comparison threatens recognition of the universal experience, and more importantly, our freedom to feel. The magnitude of our loss is irrelevant and ultimately incalculable" When you feel you can't find the "right" words to comfort a friend, or distance separates you, send this book.

Summary: Very comforting book
Comment: A friend of mine bought this book for me after my husband died of cancer. I felt as if my life had shattered into a million pieces (I was 8 months pregnant with our second child) and there was not much that gave me comfort. However, this book was the best grief book I read. It is not an outline of how you should feel, or what to do, it is simply a collection of quotes and thoughtful insights related to grief and loss. You can pick it up and put it down easily and the book moves through different emotions from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend it to anyone suffering from the loss of a loved one.

Comment: I found this book at the library after my mother died, and found it so comforting that I bought one for myself and one for each of my siblings.

Comment: When my precious mother died of cancer, this book saved my life. All of my emotions were identified in this book and the way it is written is beautiful. I have read it at least three times and each time I am reminded that my feelings of grief and loss will never completely go away but neither will I allow them to consume me.
