Comment: Found, is a mystery book appropriate for grades 4-12 students. This book begins by setting up an impossible mystery. An airplane lands at the gate; and when the flight attendants try to let the people off the plane onto the jet-way, they decide to peer inside. What they see shocks and bewilders them. All the seats were filled with toddlers. No pilots, no crew. This sets up the basis for the mysteries that friends, Jonah and Chip must solve to be able to fully understand their own pasts. This book is fast moving and the characters are interesting. Students and adults will appreciate the twists and turns and unexpected outcome. This first book in a new series, of Margaret Petersen Haddix is sure to entertain and provoke thought. The next book in The Missing series, Sent book 2 is due out August 2009.

Comment: This is the best book I have ever read! It kept me turning pages and I could not put the book down. Before you read this book, make sure you have a couple of hours to read it because you will not be able to put it down.

Summary: Found a spine tingling tween's book here!
Comment: My daughter was encouraged by a friend to read this book, and while she finished another story I picked it up as a possible book club book this summer. Honestly, the prologue was enough to draw me into the story as I love the time travel "where did that come from" genre. The creative characters trying to become adults yet know they need support from trust worthy adults kept me reading. The disturbances in time will keep me coming back for the next in the series. In the depths of the story is how does flirting with time affect more than just the one person or 36 people who are directly moved through time. I find a good lesson for those who will someday imagine how time travel will become reality, and this book is a wonderful introduction for the creative. I look forward to finding out how everything works out for Jonah, Katherine, and Chip.
