Comment: Wish I had this book when I started teaching 23 years ago. If you are a teacher or know a teacher, get this book. Better yet, get two, one to keep and one to pass on. I think this book should also be read by parents as they start the parenting process with their own children.

Summary: Helping a first year teacher
Comment: I bought this book for my daughter on the advise of my sister who used the love and logic technique while raising her grandson.
My daughter is a 1st year teacher who is dealing with 7th and 8th grade attitude. I gave her the book and she is reading it with gusto. We carpool and each day she tells me something else that is working for her, and she is so excited about all the great ideas she is receiving.
I haven't read it myself, but I feel like my daughter's response is a great endorsement.
