Summary: OK...
Comment: OK so I'm one of the people that didn't read the description well and was shocked to see no words. Isn't a book by definition something you READ? I would call it a picture book or something like that otherwise, but anyways. Cute book just not into the "lack of words" thing. I understand that you can use it to explain to your child what's happening, but I bought this for my niece who's expecting a sibling and I just am not into how blah this book is.... but my own fault for not reading the description better!

Summary: Lovely, useful, to any ages.
Comment: I love the fact that the book has no text.

I see this as a good thing because in other books the focus is "how bad the old brother/sis feels" and I dont think I want to read that to my 2yr old son.

This book is happy, colorful, kind and loving in the way it introduces the new baby. My son took it right away and likes to see it very much.

I tell him "who is this?" is daddy... "And this is a baby, and this is you, the big brother"... he smiles but I know he is still understanding.
You can elaborate more on the drawings, its all on you and your childs age.

The book has two drawings of mom nursing, I love that. It has also a drawing of the parents reading a story to the older son, when the baby sleeping. :D

I think it is great and would recommend to anyone.

Comment: My daughter loved this book when we were getting ready for our son to arrive. The best part is that they focus on the nursing aspect and I really think that prepared my daughter for what was going to happen. She still asks to read this book and she loves the pictures and applies them to people she knows in real life and situations we've been in.

Summary: Positive book for toddlers
Comment: I bought this book on a whim without looking properly, and didn't realize that it doesn't have any words. I was momentarily taken aback, but then realized that this is a great feature as you can personalize the story to your family. Our son is currently 22 months, and expecting a new baby brother or sister in 2 months time. At first he didn't like the book at all, but it has quickly become a favorite.

I interpret the pictures on each page to fit our family, and identify him as the little boy, us as mummy and daddy and so on. I love that the book shows mum breastfeeding, dad making dinner and so on. That fits our family pretty well, plus we are a mom, dad and son. If that doesn't reflect your family's appearance or lifestyle, I'm not sure you would be so happy with the book. At the very least it would be nice if the older child was a bit more gender unspecific, so it would work if you have a daughter.
