Summary: Good Anger Management Guide
Comment: My hubby suggested an anger management class. I yell at him and the kids on the fly. This is a good book. It is helping me a lot. I just started it last night and am halfway through. It is an easy read. It is entertaining.

Comment: i happened upon this book as my kids are 4, 2 and 1 - thank you! over the past couple years i had begun to figure this info out - especially the "you must take care of yourself first in order to benefit others" idea - after totally loosing and immersing myself into ONLY my children's lives..... like my parents did before me :(

hearing someone validate that this is ok really helped remove the guilt. my parents, esp mom, "devoted" her whole being and life - and still does - to her kids - and, of course, she was frazzled, unhealthy, exhausted, resentful and divorced after 18 years. This crazy "you-must-devote-your-entire-being-to-your-children in order to be a "good" parent idea is NUTSO! It will not work in the long run - for you, nor for your kids. Why are so many "adults" in my 22-35 yr old generation still living at home? "unable" to get a job or finish school? There's your answer - no one let them struggle.

I do still need to work on calming myself down first - my husband used to say this, but now i see what he means - it only adds to the problem when i get visibly angry or agigitaed or exhausted....

thanks again for the permission and validation to still be and care for ME (and my spouse) while also being a GREAT parent.

Comment: The book is easy reading and full of great viewpoints and suggestions. I am busy mom with limited time so I only read 1-2 chapters at a time and that works with this book. It is a nice compliment to the "Love and Logic Parenting" classes and materials I have recently heard. I am definitely happy with my purchase, and am working on being screamfree!
