Summary: Check with your family doctor or pediatrician first!
Comment: I recommend checking with your Family Physician or Pediatrician before following the advice in this book. Butter, tomatoes, cow's milk/cheese, and citrus before age 1? Not advised by the American Academy of Pediatrics! Not to mention whole eggs, strawberries, and canned tuna. The bio on the author does not state she has any nutritional education whatsoever. Buyer beware.

Summary: Good size baby cook book
Comment: I got this book from the library to see if I liked it enough to buy and I do! I love the size of the book (it's not hundreds of pages long like Super Baby Food that is practically all narrative in form) and the recipes are creative enough. I can't wait to try them out on my baby. And yes, some may not be "puree" recipes as written but all recipes can be pureed to your baby's appropriate consistency.
The author does talk about allergies and appropriate times for introducing foods (in the Introduction). Many reviews say some of the foods are suggested for babies sooner than other recommendations but it's all what you feel is best. Recommendations are just that, recommendations.
As for the book, I loved the simplicity of the recipes, the nutritional facts and tips shown. I have already recommended this book to several people and I plan to purchase it even though my baby is already 9 months old.
