Summary: A great book that's actually fun to read!
Comment: I checked this book out from the library after my two year old daughter randomly grabbed it off the shelf. Of the 10 books we checked out, this is the only one we keep coming back to. The best part - it's fun for me to read to my daughter! The illustrations are good and the expressions are fun, but the short rhyming sentences are just begging for you to use your own inflections to whisper, pout, or wail.

Summary: Perfect for two and three year olds
Comment: Once you get over the weirdness of a llama in pajamas - which my kids did readily, understanding it's just fantasy - this story is pretty familiar to anyone with little children who just do not like to say goodnight! As I read this one to my girls I found some of the text was pretty much verbatim what I tell them! It ends with the reassuring message that mommy is always nearby, even when she's not right there, right away. The text is brief and rhyming, would appeal especially to two year olds. My three year olds have moved on to more complex stories but we all found this a fun read.

Summary: Adorable! A classic
Comment: Despite having no children of my own, I've been on a children's literature kick lately and have read everything from Amelia Bedelia to Fancy Nancy, but when I came across this book I was truly in awe! The illustrations are perfect, and Adorable! It's fun to read, especially out loud, and deals with the bedtime issue every child has no doubt felt. There's nothing not to love about llama llama, and surprisingly enough, the other books in the series are just as good as this one. Get them all! Your child (or yourself) will love it endlessly.
