Comment: It took me forever to get my book. I didn't get it until a month after the latest that I should have gotten it. After trying to get my money back and cancelling the order then my book came once it was too late and I had already borrowed it from someone else. This seller seems to be full of excuses.

Comment: Sensational Kids: Hope And Help For Children With Sensory Processing Disorder by Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, stands apart from others written on sensory processing. Despite being an Occupational Therapist and clinical researcher, Dr. Miller provides explanations of sensory processing in ways that parents and other laymen can readily understand. She breaks down Sensory Processing Disorder into its various subtypes and uses case studies to illustrate what types of behaviors can be seen with each subtype. She provides insight into how SPD should be diagnosed and then suggests various strategies and treatments to help these children. Her main focus throughout the book is on parents and how parental involvement in treatment is essential to success.
I have read many books on Sensory Processing Disorder(SPD). However, until reading Dr. Miller's book, I have never read anything that so adequately depicts my own child's issues and that truly provides parents with a great sense of hope.

Comment: I've read other books - the classic "Out-of-Sync Child" stands out - but Lucy Jane Miller's "Sensational Kids" was by far the clearest. Once I read it I understood why each child with sensory processing disorder is so different from each other. It should be required reading for all parents, teachers and caregivers of SPD kids!

Comment: 'Sensational Kids: Hope and Help for Children with Sensory Processing Disorder' may not be directed at adults with Sensory Processing Disorder but it did help me as an adult with SPD, understand my problems more. Dr. Lucy Miller's story is amazing and although she does not have SPD she definitely has my support as an advocate for me and the rest of SPD sufferers. Thank you Lucy Miller.
