Comment: this is the perfect toy for the people that love to fidgit! perfect for that boring job,your cooworkers wont be able to get enough of it either. it just keeps folding and folding and folding. or use it as a paper weight at work and just change it into a different crazy shape each day and watch the people walking by stare

Comment: I'm so glad to see they are making this again.
It's not exactly the same as the super-cool 1980s design,
but it's more than OK.
I remember playing with one on a friend's coffee table back
in the '80s, each time I would visit.
Wanted to get one for myself a few years later, but no dice.
But now... they're back!
I ordered one immediately when I saw it, and it did not disappoint.
You don't even have to "solve" anything with this device to enjoy it.
It occupies idle fingers easily without much thinking (if you want),
as it keeps changing shapes and configurations, seemingly endlessly.
It tends to be more "durable" once you have a few minutes
to get the "feel" of it (opening sections & pieces
& not forcing anything).
The only times Rubik's Magic seems to break are when some someone unused
to this "feel" casually picks one up and applies too much force on a section *in the wrong direction* in
the 1st minute or so of use. I've seen both 4-year old kids and 47-year old adults do this.
Just remind anyone to be a little gentle with it & not force anything when they play with it.
Most folks get the fairly gentle touch required fairly quickly,and angle of openings & closings of pieces,
and have a fun time with Rubik's Magic.
A perfect coffee table contraption--Simple, elegant & fun.

Summary: Not Beautiful Like the Original
Comment: I loved the Original Rubik's Magic--beautiful with the separate/interlocking rings on black. I put it on my coffee table like a piece of modern (techno) art back in the 80s. (Somehow, very few people knew about "Magic" even though "Cube" was EVERYWHERE).
So I was glad to see it back--even if it is not beautiful in its redesign as it was when (sculptor and architecture professor) Erno Rubik first created it (well, with Matchbox, for the U.S.)
Why not the original design? Now it is just a fun, inexpensive, not-very-elegant plastic toy. Disappointing.
However....I did laugh at the Age Recommendation. "8 to 45". Haha. What happens to someone at 46? Are they too stupid to do "Magic"? Or too old to have fun?
Just sayin'...For a smart toy, that's a pretty dumb description!

Comment: I purchased this for my 13 year old cousin as a Christmas present. He was very excited when he opened the gift. Of all the gifts he received, he only opened and played with this one, and for several hours at that. I was very pleased with this product and the shopping experience through Amazon.com.

Comment: Very easy to solve. But, if you force a move, the strings holding the puzzle together will fallout of the tracks and possibly could beak.
