Summary: A tall model, tough to build, but fun to operate!
Comment: I would not start your child off on this model, but our 8-yr old was able to get it done. Super-fun and satisfying to see it work. Great opportunity to work with your child and teach them methodical patience. If you are quick to anger or lack patience, stay away. But we love it!

Summary: Super cool ride...lot's of fun and easy to build
Comment: The K'nex "Sawblade" is one of the better kits in my opinion. It's well designed and not too complicated to build and enjoy, but you will need a bit of patience...but it's well worth it. It's a great "rainy weekend" project with your child. It's looks super cool when finished and runs well. We've had a lot of compliments on it from our neighbors. I'd recommend it highly to anyone who likes building toys and learning.

Summary: Fun project with your kids
Comment: I put this together with my 4 and 6 year old boys.
The complexity of building it was over their heads, but they handled the repetitive assemblies once you showed them how to do it.
The best part was sharing the experience of building it with them.
Color coding in the instructions was off, making it a little difficult to understand which pieces to use, but not to bad.
The spinning carousels are hard to align so that they don't rub against the structure as they revolve, but apart from that, it was fairly straight forward to put together and is really cool to turn it on and watch it move.
This is a monstrous structure.
We'll be taking it down soon because it's really too big to keep around, but I'm sure that it will be equally as fun to put it together the next time.
