Summary: Not the original, but what is?
Comment: I purchased Rubik's Revolution not fully knowing what it was ... other than the next generation Rubik's cube. Like most people, I imagine, upon opening the package my first attempt to interact with the toy was turning the sides. I was quite surprised when they did not move. Next I noticed the on/off switch an began playing. Each colored side offers a different variation of the same game:

* Press blue to play "light speed" This version of the game requires you to press the light which appears in the various colors in a given amount of time ... the goal is to press as many lights as you can.

* Press yellow to play "Rapid recharge" This version requires you to press whichever color begins to flash ... warning you each time they do - again quantity is the goal.

* Press green to play "Pattern panik" This game is something like the old Simon game Pocket Simon a color sequence will begin and you must follow; gaining a new color after each correct sequence.

* Press silver to play "Kube katcher" At the start of this game you are given thirty seconds to press one of the four random lights, upon pressing the light a new light will appear ... the goal is to acquire 100 percent accuracy.

* Press red to play "Multi-player madness" Up to six player can participate. The first player starts by pressing whichever random light flashes and then is asked to pass the kube to the next player. In a hot potato style, the player holding the cube when the buzzer sounds is eliminated ... game ends when only one player remains.

* Press orange to play "Kode kraker" This game is the most difficult as no lights are on. The player must find the predetermined kode by pressing the lights ... a buzzer will sound if the sequence pressed is in the wrong order.

Most will enjoy this attempt to revive the old legend that is known as Rubik's, but know that outside the name, there are very few similarities to the original klassik.

Comment: I purchased one, it quit working properly within a week. So I went and had it replaced. The second one quit working properly very quickly also. Game would be fun if it were durable. And mind you we are not hard on games, and it was mostly me, an adult who knows how to treat her games, that played this.

Very disappointed that it was designed to fail.

Summary: A big waste of money
Comment: This is a Rubik's Cube look-alike that lights up and makes way too much noise - very loud, annoying noise at that. The noise can be turned off, but then there is nothing but the lights to attract players. Our granddaughter liked playing it to get faster at selecting the blinking lights, but became bored with doing that and just began spinning it for the noise.

Summary: Great toy, great challenge for little hands too!
Comment: This is one toy that can definitely span age groups. From about 3 on up, this thing sure is a bunch of fun! We've had ours for two years now and it still keeps on going. If you think the cubes are going to move around like a regular Rubik's cube, it won't. It's more of a master of hand-mind that it is in solving a puzzle. Hand-eye coordination skills are severely needed in this game, which makes it a must for little ones too in keen development stages. Great, great toy, we highly recommend it! Hubby can't put it down!

Comment: I purchased this toy to add something fun to a gift card I bought as a teenagers Christmas present. It kept all the kids and adults entertained during our Christmas Eve get together. I will buy more in the future!
