Summary: Freddie the Firefly is the best!
Comment: Freddie has been our daughter's favourite toy since she was about 2 months of age. She's now nearly 8 months and still loves him. He has so many features that she discovers something new with each developmental stage she goes through- he never gets boring. Our daughter was born with serious brain damage but is now totally fine, and we believe the stimulation she got from Freddie and other Lamaze toys is a big factor in her great development.

Summary: Freddie the Firefly vs. Tucker the Turtle for a newborn
Comment: I have both the firefly and the turtle. Both have pros and cons. I prefer the turtle because of the large mirror on his belly. My newborn has been fascinated with this since she was a month old. The firefly mirror on the wing is too small to interest her even though she is now 3 months old. However, the tangling teether from the firefly should come in handy in another month or two. If you were to buy only one Lamaze for a newborn, I recommend the turtle for its nice size mirror.

Comment: Freddie is so bright and colorful! He has crunchy wings and chimes in his belly. Our daughter is teething and she just loves to chew on the little red lady bug that hangs from Freddie's wing. I'm so glad we purchased Freddie the Firefly!
