Summary: Good Interpretation
Comment: As with most Pressman Toy home-game versions, this is a very good interpretation of the game show. It does, however, take some practice to get the game to feel "just right."
Aside from the obvious game play to mimic the game show, this home-game version adds some unique twists so that everyone is as involved as is possible. The role of case-bearer easily could have been made a very passive one, but the rules of the game give these other players more interaction. This is a nice twist and makes what would be a very boring role much more involved in the game.
An additional change to the standard game is the allowance for bartering. This changes the dynamic of the game quite a bit. Some people really dislike this change. Personally, I like it. The reasons for this change are relayed in the rules. Simply put, because the banker is paying the player out of his or her own pocket, bartering seems like a natural allowance.
The one place where this game falls short is its lack of direction for the banker. If a particular player has little experience with the show, chances are he or she will make a very poor banker. This seems obvious, but it reveals itself even more profoundly when you actually play the game. There is no banker "cheat sheet" for inexperienced players to use, so you usually end up with a banker who offers way too little money or way too much money. Experience with the game show or repeated play will help novice bankers improve.
As with most of their efforts, Pressman Toy offers a very good home game version here. Fans of the game show will enjoy this version a great deal, and it really is fun to play.

Summary: Deal or NO Deal 10*'s
Comment: Everyone should own this game. It is so much fun and everyone loves playing the BANKER! My kids and husband get a kick out of this game. Fun for all ages. All families need to play more board games together. This game reminds me of playing Monopoly with my parents years ago. Highly recommend!

Summary: deal or no deal dilima
Comment: This game will definitly excite Deal or no deal fans. Yet, there is too much work that has to be done. You have to first put all the cards into the "cases". Then, for the bank offer, it tells how the real banker actually calculates the offer, but it is too dificult, even with a calculater, so there is no real way to do it. then, after the game , if you don't want to put the cases in order the next time you play, you must do it at the end of the game. It is fun, though, if you really play it. So, if you want to pay less, but do more work, get the game. If you just want to play it peacfully, get the tv plug in version or the handheld (not the dvd version its slow). It is your choice: Deal, or no deal?

Summary: Fun Game, But...
Comment: This was fun however for the person who takes the role of the banker and has to give an offer to the player is a bit challenging (for those math-challenged).
