Summary: I bought this toy as a gift for my grandson, but haven't given it to him yet.
Comment: I bought this toy for my grandson's 2nd birthday next month, at the request of his mother , so I don't know how he'll like it, but I know that Melissa and Doug toys are highly rated for their durability and ease of use for little ones. I myself love how brightly the toys are colored, and the fact that they are made for little hands.

Summary: cute, but a little disappointed
Comment: I was looking for this puzzle in particular for my little girl since it is the "girliest" one M&D have in the chunky puzzles. It is very cute and functional, but the sides and backs of the pieces are not painted like the other chunky puzzles I have. The particleboard is left raw and of course, goes straight into our 12-month olds mouth, so it is beginning to puff up in some spots. I expected better from Melissa and Doug as I have many of their other toys and love them. Otherwise, it's a good puzzle, just like the other chunky puzzles my older son loved so much.
