Summary: A Great Gift for a Little Girl..
Comment: I purchased this for my niece for her birthday, and wow did it make her day. It has now been about 9 months and still still plays with it daily and even though it has seen quite a lot of use by her and her friends, it is still in great shape.

This is one of those gifts that kids will remember getting into adulthood.

My daughters (4 and 6 yo) love playing with their Barbie house that Santa brought them for Christmas but.... almost immediately the window panes, doors, and flower box fell off as well as various parts of the roof. I tried gluing the roof parts and the flower box back on with a good craft glue but didn't work. The girls still love it and play with it constantly but without window panes, doors, flower box, and roof parts. I remember having a Barbie Dream House when I was a child. It was orange, made of painted wood and plastic, didn't have all the bells and whistles this one does BUT the parts didn't fall apart. I gave this a 3 because even though the girls love to play with it, I feel strongly that for the amount of money I, er, I mean, Santa paid for it, the house should STAY TOGETHER!!!

Summary: Dream Come True for any little Girl...Barbie Dream House...
Comment: This is one of the best toys we have for quiet play! My daughter is 4 and enjoys her house all of the time. She sets up the rooms, cooks in the little kitchen, attaches her doll to the spiral staircase for a ride up, gives her dolls a bath etc. There are so many fun things for her to do and interact with in this house. The doors open and close and the parts move...toilet lid opens, stove makes a sizzle sound, washer and dryer open and close, door bell rings etc. My daughter loves the pink canopy that hangs over the master bed. This is a large doll house but it does fold up if you can ever get your child to put it away! :)

After reading some other reviews, I had to write my own to say: It is recommended for children 4 and up and is made of plastic so children will have to take care of it. There is not room for storing all of the items inside when it is folded up so just get some sort of tub for storage. It is big (but small enough to go in a closet)and sized appropriately for Barbies. We have absolutely NO complaints and would recommend this cute house to all doll loving girls.

Summary: Good house, little flimsy though
Comment: My 3 y/o daughter asked Santa for 2 things..this being one of them. Obviously we happily obliged. I put the house together and one of the doors on the 3rd floor is too small to actually stay in, so if she even looks at it too hard, it'll fall out. Obviously cannot be glued in or it wont open.

The flower box outside of the kitchen window does not fit..it also is too small. It falls out if the house is bumped too hard.

The kicker was today my daughter was playing with the house and one of the doorknobs came off the door, no rhyme or reason, just simply fell off. If i hadn't seen it with my own 2 eyes I would not have believed her when she said iot fell off.

I promptly called mattell cause I had had enough with things just falling off this pretty expensive toy. The lady looked the house up on the computer and swore up and down to me there was NO pink 3 story dream house. It was white. I said the monitor must need a color adjustment cause this house is clearly pink. Anyhow, long story short, she can send me replacement accessories, BUT they dont have that door in the accessory pack..so the ONE thing that actually cannot be fixed by being glued down cannot be replaced. My other option? Get a refund if I send them all of the accessories from this one so I can go buy another one and risk having the same problems.

All in all, even though that door irritates me, my daughter only minds once in a while when she has trouble getting it back on herself. She loves the house, and while the bathroom could have a bit more space, I'd buy it again if I found it at the sale price that I did.
