Summary: Great toy when modified
Comment: I was introduced to this toy by my 2 yr olds speech therapist while learning to pronounce colors correctly. I agree with the other posts about it being a bit too loud. When the therapist turned it on, he got very frightened and clung to me. We had to modify it and keep the power off and have him just pick the ducks out of the "pond" and match them with the cards that way. He enjoyed it this way too, as he is just 2 yrs old, but I do wish the company could find a way to reduce the sound of the motor. Other then that, I think it really is a great toy, but most likely wouldn't buy it as a gift out of fear the recipient would be annoyed with the loudness of the gift.

Comment: Our kids have fun playing the game, but my GOD is it loud and annoying. Between the piercing quacking and the rhythmic motor sound, you'll think Satan himself devised this game to torture parents. If you want to get back at someone for doing something evil to you, buy this game for their kids! Just don't expect a thank you card.
Ok, maybe I'm overdoing it with the noise stuff but it is loud. The only reason we haven't sold it at a garage sale is that the kids love to turn the motor on and watch the ducks go around. They don't really play the game part, and we don't encourage them to since it's so loud. Too bad, because it is a good idea and our kids like matching games.

Summary: PRESCHOOLER LOVES IT!!!
Comment: My 4 years old son loves it and wants to play with it everyday. It teaches shapes, color, hand and eye cordination and fine motor skills. My daughter who is 16 months of age loves to play with it too. She only likes to puts all the ducks in the pound while it is moving and than take ducks out of the pound, not to mention she loves the sound it makes and that is fun too. I can't imagine any kid who wouldn't like little yellow ducks. It is a Hit in our home. One of the best toys my kids loves to play. Age 4 and up would be appropiate age for this game. Also, very durable!!!

Summary: The toy was an Easter present for my nephew. I had it mailed to him. I could hear him enjoying the toy on the phone.
Comment: He is too little to comment. I could hear him playing and saying "yahoo!" and "wow" alot. He had alot of fun last Easter and the duck toy added to his enjoyment.

Summary: Memory, figures and movement fun
Comment: When I first saw my son playing with this toy I knew that I had to purchase it. He like it very much and it's a good toy to share with others kids visiting our house.
From my point of view this toy develops the understanding of figures and memory, since they have to track the duck that someone else pick if it has its particular figure they have to find.
It does require an adult as a referee when kids are playing, otherwise some friction may occur with players.
