Summary: Great in the tub too!
Comment: We got this along with several of the other Playmobile Pirate sets for our son for his 3rd birthday. The first thing he wanted to do after opening this was to take a bath. It floats wonderfully in the water and he can't get enough of using the fishing pole to catch the fish. The shark is great too. All the Playmobile pirates are great. I would highly recommend this to any pirate fan.

Comment: Once again, Playmobile has done it! I love their products. There is a lot of detail and imagination put into the things they make and my son (almost 6 years old) LOVES them! We now have the entire Pirate collection as well as a few other sets. Highly recommended for kids that can handle and keep up with teeny tiny pieces!

Comment: There's no denying I love these products. I'm a grandma and my 5 yr old grandson loves them too. I gave Shark's Prey to his cousin (3 1/2) when I gave the Pirate Chest to my grandson at Christmas and they played with them together. I'm learning that at that age you need to interact and "imagine" with them. Make up stories and use all the wonderful figures and accessories to stimulate their imagination. My grandson now realizes that there are good pirates who can relax under moonlit skies - a palm tree oasis in the Treasure Chest, invite dinosaurs to their habitat, and fight off sharks to catch fish to feed all the needy...then s.e.e.k and confiscate a treasure to make all their wishes come true. Another adventure!!!

Comment: Great as a stand-alone pirate toy, or as an addition to the other items in the Playmobil Pirates collection.
The boat and the shark both float perfectly in the tub; the shark with both his dorsal and tail fins sticking above the waterline. If you place the oars first in the oar locks, and then in the pirate's hands, it helps hold those pieces together for tub time fun. My 3.5 year old son loves it, and unlike some of the bigger Playmobil sets, there's not too many tiny pieces to keep track of. The whole set includes: seagull w/nest, lantern, boat light, bottle, flask, 3 fish, bucket, barrel, fishing pole, boat, oars, small island w/tree, shark, and pirate.
The magnetic fishing pole is a big hit, but is a bit flimsy. This is our third Playmobil purchase, and I'm really impressed with their products. While it's true that there are many tiny pieces (more so on the bigger sets), I think that's part of the fun. If you lose a gold coin here, a plastic lobster there, they really won't be missed amongst all the other stuff.
