Summary: tangoes are great for all ages!
Comment: I absolutely love playing this game, my parents have it too and I think my dad ended up breaking one of the pieces but we bought some crazy (super) glue and in a matter of minutes it was fixed. The challenges some of the cards bring often make the user think outside the box, and that's been a tremendous help over the years. Buy this for fun, buy this for the educational value, buy this for entertainment, buy this if you want to solve puzzles!

Summary: communal excursion into the absurd
Comment: a very durable and compact set of tangoes. you can slide it into your handbag/purse and pull it out whenever there's a dull moment. EVERYone is always a bit intrigued with tangoes' simple nature yet challenging puzzles. it's a fun and silly game, since the objective is to race your opponent into making a simple figure/design with just 6 plastic shapes. this sounds easy but it's also occasionally nearly impossible to achieve. playing tangoes is just as fun at a bar with twenty or thirty-somethings as it is with 8-year olds at the kitchen table. ps - the "travel tangoes" version is just for one person, while this set is made for two to compete simultaneously, which is more fun.

Comment: This is a classic fun educational game. The object of the game is to mimic the silhouette shape shown on the card using all the pieces. With only 7 pieces, you will be surprised that some of these puzzles are much harder that it looks. It may even stump you. It is challenging, especially if you are racing against another person.

Comment: My brother and I had this game growing up and we really loved to race each other to make the different pictures with the tangrams. Our dad was a math teacher, so of course, he saw the educational value even though we just thought it was fun. Later, when I was a teacher, I had this game in my classroom. Even Kindergarteners can play with these and try to build the pictures.
