Summary: mom for educational fun
Comment: This is a fun game. Its's a simple, quick game that my kids love. I modified it a little bit to make it a little more educational. In the game, you have to match the states cards to certain criteria (other cards) and then you call out the state that you matched. First one to call out wins that round. I added the rule that you have to call out the state and capital so that my kids are reiterating the capitals on every play.
One day we were driving and we saw Olympia Street, I asked my kids if they remembered which state had Olympia as its capital. My daughter knew it was Washington.
This game works and it is fun. I play it with my kids often. I also recommend that you get the book and read it first. It is a little babyish but my kids liked the book and it explained the game a little bit (but the book is not needed to understand the game)

Comment: my son (age 7) found the dvd that goes to this game at the library and fell in love with it! we watched it a dozen times the 1st day. come christmas time, i found that it has a game and a book-so we got him both. it is now 12.29.07 and i can say that i have played this game at the very least 40 times. this is by far his favorite gift. he is finding the states with out any problem now and is learning the nickname and the capitals as well.
ssshhhh...i don't think he knows he is learning!

Summary: My kids loved this!
Comment: My kids (ages 11, 9, and 6) all have fun playing this game. I'd love to be able to purchase more cards as I can see that in the future the ones that came with the game will become too easy. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is made for 2 to 4 players; however, it only gave us three reference maps. I'm sure it was supposed to have come with four and our missing one was a mistake.
Besides that, great game and lots of fun!
