Comment: This is a great book which all ages can get a good laugh. Not sure if we are going to try these such silly things but we enjoy reading it and laughing and sharing with other around the camp fire.

Comment: This is a truly fun book, crammed with oddities. My 13 year old is devouring it. We got two extra copies to give as birthday gifts to our grandsons, who will also find it a challenge. It's well done, although
the paper is a bit flimsy & I have my doubts how how they will work
oin this ring-bonder format. The cover binding is beautifully done, also
with wit & good design sense. An excellent purchase for kids or
adults alike.

Comment: This was a gift for my 9 year old and he absolutely loves it. Some of the topics are silly but somehow he finds it funny. My son loves to read so this is just a good fun book to have.

Comment: My 9-year old reviewing partner loves this book. She says it's hilarious and entertaining, and "makes me actually want to do the stuff."

This would be great for a long trip, or a 10-year old birthday gift (for a ten-year old who wasn't already expecting to receive an iPod from you).

If you liked The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls you'll groove to The Encyclopedia of Immaturity. As you might expect from the title, it's in the same spirit, but a little more irreverent. The Encyclopedia of Immaturity reminds me a lot of the classic 1970's Scholastic magazines, Dynamite and Bananas. If you fondly remember these magazines you have to get this book...for the kids in your life, of course.

Summary: Sit down before opening
Comment: I bought this book as a gag gift for my secret santa because I figured I would try something different than the usual bath set this year, besides, who doesn't like to laugh? Well, when I started flipping through it I laughed so hard that I fell on the floor and bruised my tail bone! Ouch! No kidding, sit down before opening this book. Some pages are cornier than others, but it's mostly good fun. I'm in my twenties, my mother is in her fifties, and the friend I bought it for is a physician - and we all giggled over it like little kids. If you are considering this book for a child it will definately keep them very busy... but naughty children may get themselves into a little more trouble than usual!
