Summary: Great toy for older kids
Comment: My teenage son got the spinning top and starter tool for Christmas last year. This year, he asked for this perpetuator. This is a great gift for older kids that are into science or optical illusions. Beware, though, that it is difficult to master the technique to get this top spinning. It can take a really long time -- it may be frustrating for younger kids. Once you master the spin technique, and make sure the perpetuator is level, the top will keep spinning for a while. We didn't get it quite level (it was wobbly), but it still stayed spinning for about 15 minutes. I am confident that, if we play with it more, we will get it to spin for longer.
