Summary: love the moon sand
Comment: My 3 year old son absolutely loves playing with the moon sand. He will make shapes and crash into them with the monster truck provided. He will play with this for the upper end of two hours. This is quite messy though and works best in a garage or on hard wood floors that you can sweep up the mess. We enjoy the hands on building and using your mind to create shapes. I would definitely recommend this fun project for a rainy day or if you are stuck in doors.

Comment: This is one of the best toys for my son, who is three. He will play with it for 1-2 hours at a stretch. He plays independently for long stretches, which is nice. I set it up on the kitchen table on a large cookie sheet to help contain the mess. I will definately be buying more Moon Sand in the future. Beware that is does make a bit of a mess, some usually ends up on the floor, but can be easily swept up at the end of playtime. It does stick to clothes, so I actually have one outfit my son wears when he plays with moon sand. I keep the outfit with the moon sand, so we just quickly change clothes. My son LOVES moon sand. For the amount of time he plays with it, it is worth the small amount of clean-up.

Summary: Love this addition to our Moon Sand Sets
Comment: My 5-year-old adores this addition to his moonsand play set. The kit includes enough sand to make cars and other items to "run over" with the included Monster Truck. He had a ball and still plays with it at least once or so a week after a month of me purchasing it. The new inserted play mat for the original blow up moonsand kit makes it that more fun for him to play like he's at the Monster Trucks show!

Great Idea! for a new and fun way to make and keep moonsand play sets interesting.

Yes, moonsand can get messy, but didn't we all learn creatively through making messes when we were younger? I'll gladly sweep this up when he's done.

Summary: What a mess!
Comment: The commercials make Moon Sand look like it stays together well and is not messy at all. It is basically like letting your kid play with sand inside. It does mold together if you squeeze it or put it in a mold but that does not keep it from making a huge mess. If I could get rid of it without my child getting upset I would.

Summary: Moon Sand Set is a hit, super fun gift
Comment: I bought the Moon Sand Set for my 4 year old nephew for Christmas. Well, within minutes of him opening it, I found myself setting it up for him to play. The carrying case/play surface is blowup which was a little difficult to inflate, luckily an air compressor was available. There was no way he could inflate this on his own. But once it was up, the fun began. The play area wasn't as big as it appeared to be on the pictures and commercials I had seen. But it didn't seem to bother my nephew. The moonsand it easy to work with. All you need to do is squish it together until it is easy to work with and stays together similiar to putty or clay. I ended up having as much fun as he did. The molds that come with it are good too. Though sometimes the sand was hard to get out of them without it falling apart. It takes a couple of tries until you get the feel for it. The sand was a little messy,if it's not squished enough it is literally like sand and flies everywhere. I ended up covering the table with plastic to keep it from getting all over things.The clean up was easy though, what did get in the carpet or on own clothes was easily swept up. When we were done playing we simply put all the sand and molds in the case, velcroed it shut and it was ready to take anywhere. Overall, it was a big hit with my nephew. A successful gift for sure!!
